About This Event
The Banned Books book group reads a mix of books that have been challenged or banned. Some are recent books that are facing challenges in classrooms and libraries right now; others are books that have been targeted over the decades. While we will spend most of our time discussing each book as a work of literature, we will also (at least briefly) discuss the efforts against it and why people feel threatened by the themes, characters, and/or events in it.
