Rent Party Live! Your Favorite Feminist Garage Folk Trio
Past event
About This Event
Come out for a show with Rent Party, everyone's favorite feminist garage folk trio.
Rent Party are: Sneža (the axe/box-wielding wailer), Holly (the beat master extraordinaire), and Matt (bass-string and vocal-cord vibrations), and they are your favorite feminist garage folk band. Since 2014, Rent Party has been peddling original tunes and multilingual covers on stages and streets of Chicago, and they’ve also played Brooklyn, Cleveland, Detroit, Manhattan, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, New Jersey, and St. Paul. Featured on The Watt From Pedro Show, they've released Burn It Down (EP, 2019), "Bella Ciao!" (single, 2023), Corto (LP, 2023), and With RP (triple single, 2026). Browse for the next book (e.g. band founder Snežana Žabić’s Concrete Is More Beautiful Disfigured and Stained) that will inspire you to change the world while listening to Rent Party’s upbeat songs of protest, rage and other discontent.
