About This Event
Main Point Books is thrilled to host this unique opportunity to hear renowned poet/scholar Moira Egan in conversation with renowned translator/scholar Emily Wilson. They'll be having a wide-ranging conversation on women in Greek myth and discussing their books "The Furies" and "Crossing the Wine-Dark Sea."
Tickets for this limited-seating, intimate event are $50 and include a copy of both books.

Emily Wilson
In addition to being the bane of Christopher Nolan, Emily Wilson is a classicist, translator, professor of classical studies at the University of Pennsylvania, and the author of the bestselling translations of Homer’s The Odyssey and The Iliad. Wilson was named a fellow of the American Academy in Rome in Renaissance & Early Modern scholarship, a MacArthur Fellow, and a Guggenheim Fellow. Wilson is a Professor of classical studies and chair of the program in comparative literature and literary theory at the University of Pennsylvania. Wilson lives in Philadelphia with her family and pets.

Moira Egan
Moira Egan has published six collections of poetry in the US and four bilingual collections in Italy. Her translations have been supported by the Raiziss/de Palchi Translation Fellowship of the Academy of American Poets, an NEA Translation Fellowship, and other awards. She has taught in the US, Honduras, Greece, and Italy.

Main Point Books is thrilled to welcome best-selling author Jodi Picoult with her new book "Hollow Bones," a riveting novel about the risks we take to protect the ones we love in a world where crisis is always just around the corner. This event is at The Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA. The area business districts has restaurants if you come early, and there is a bar inside the theater. Tickets are $40 and include a signed copy of the book. Jodi will not be signing additional books or personalizing book you receive at this event. There will be a professional photographer to take individual photos of fans with Jodi. There area very limited number of Premium Tickets for $ 60, which include seating in the front center section and first call for the photo line. There are no obstructed view seats in the Keswisk, as it is one open space. Parking is available on the street and in near-by parking lots

Main Points is thrilled to welcome Cristin O'Keefe Aptowicz, author of "Dr. Mutter's Marvels," with her book "The Ballad of the Fugitive William Parker: A True Tale of Love, Murder, Treason, and Ordinary Folks Who Saved America."
