Vengefully matched
"From the author of Hopelessly Teavoted comes a witchy, sapphic rom-com about a mischievous runaway bride and her prim-and-proper Witchery Council rival that must fake-date in order to catch a would-be murderer-and accidentally fall in love. Priscilla Hart does not do regret-except maybe for the small matter of fleeing her own wedding in a cloud of magical fireworks. Now the town's most infamous runaway witch, she's determined to rebuild her reputation on the Witchery Council and prove she's more than a scandal in heels. Agatha Vanderbilt Voisin, the newly elected council president, is everything Priscilla can't stand: composed, proper, and infuriatingly perfect. But when a string of dangerous magical explosions points to Priscilla as the culprit, Agatha makes an impulsive move-announcing that they're dating-to save her from exile. Faking a relationship in public should be simple...until late-night arguments turn into slow-burn attraction, and the two discover that something wicked is brewing in Hallowcross. To survive the magic-and their feelings-they'll have to stop pretending and risk falling for real"--

Hopelessly teavoted: a novel
Azrael Ashmedai Hart must be cursed. He’s a witch twice named for the devil. He’s making his way back to his family manor in Hallowcross after a failed screenwriting career. He’s adopted a cat he’s allergic to, and if all of that is not enough, he’s also forced to come face-to-face with his childhood best friend and former crush. Victoria Starnberger, the bubbly girl-next-door Az lost touch with after an awkward incident in college, has just been disowned by her parents for quitting business school and buying Azrael’s late parents’ Hopelessly Teavoted tea shop against their wishes. Being cut off financially is one thing. But, now Vickie also owes a lesser devil for the souls her parents promised him in exchange for her gift to summon the dead by touching something they treasured in life, destroying the object in the process.

ABOUT THE BOOK:
From the author of the “colorful, sweet, and swoony” (Mallory Marlowe, USA TODAY bestselling author) Hopelessly Teavoted comes a witchy, sapphic rom-com about a mischievous runaway bride and her prim-and-proper Witchery Council rival who must fake-date in order to catch a would-be murderer—and accidentally fall in love.
Priscilla Hart does not do regret—except maybe for the spectacularly disastrous choice of fleeing her own wedding in a cloud of magical fireworks. Now the town’s most infamous runaway witch, she’s determined to rebuild her reputation on the Witchery Council and prove she’s more than a scandal in designer heels. Agatha Vanderbilt Voisin, the newly elected council president, is everything Priscilla can’t stand: composed, proper, and infuriatingly perfect. But when a string of dangerous magical explosions points to Priscilla as the culprit,
Agatha makes an impulsive move—announcing that they’re dating—to save her from exile.
Faking a relationship in public should be simple even for such opposites…until late-night arguments turn into slow-burn attraction, and the two discover that something wicked is brewing in Hallowcross. To survive the magic—and their feelings—they’ll have to stop pretending and risk falling for real. Can they outwit a magic powerful enough to destroy them, or will trust be the most dangerous risk of all?

About the Venue

Cupid's Bookshop
Cupid’s is more than a bookstore, it’s a judgment‑free zone where diverse love stories are celebrated openly. Tina envisioned a store where readers don’t have to hide their favorite tropes—be it aliens, faeries, dragons, or adventure romances—and where workshops, midnight release parties, and author signings are part of the romance culture. Community is at our core. We host monthly book clubs spanning romantasy, contemporary romance, dark romance, and LGBTQ+ titles—each one a welcoming space for readers to gush, cry, debate tropes, and bond over their favorite book boyfriends (and girlfriends, and morally gray magical beings). Whether you're new to romance or a lifelong lover of the genre, our book clubs are designed to make you feel seen, heard, and completely at home.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Her touch kills, his saves the dying. Are they fated, or forbidden? Tempest Dunlap loves romance novels, but she knows she’ll never have her own happily-ever-after. She is a sweatpants-wearing doula who homeschools her seven-year-old niece in suburban New Jersey. Unfortunately, she’s also a succubus: Every man she’s ever kissed has died. But Tempest is a good person who never intended to be a murderer, so she’s sworn off love forever. Then she meets Joel Tav, a gorgeous, gentle doctor who makes celibacy feel impossible. Tempest knows she can’t touch him—or tell him his brother was the last man she dated and accidentally killed. Meanwhile, a vigilante is hunting people with dark powers, and Tempest is next. Should she keep hiding in her safe, lonely life, or should she embrace the darkness she fears and risk the ultimate forbidden romance? Maybe Tempest will get her love story after all . . . or maybe she’ll become its villain. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: KATE FOX lives with her husband, daughters, and two fluffy cats in an old house in an old town in the universally admired state of New Jersey, where she looks for magic in mundane places. Her favorite trope is enemies to lovers, as long as they're really enemies.
